South of Tiergarten right at the Landwehrkanal at Klingelhöferstr is the Bauhaus Archiv situated. I went there twice last week; once to watch the exhibitions and once just for hanging our and having lunch. There is always an exhibition with a Bauhaus story line; architectural models of buildings, furniture, posters and other peculiar Bauhaus creations. In addition to that one there is a temporary exhibition (right now a beautiful photo exhibition with Hélène Binet), a library, a shop, the archive and a café, which serves a tasty and photogenic tomato and ginger soup. You have to buy a ticket to the exhibitions but it is free to come and hang out, which is something I can very much recommend!
